Brotherhood forged in Masonic tradition,
bound by the open road.
The North Eastern Widows Sons (N.E.W.S.) is a chapter of the Widows Sons Ontario — a motorcycle riding association comprised exclusively of Master Masons and their families. We are brothers united by a shared love of the open road and the timeless principles of Freemasonry: brotherly love, relief, and truth.
Riding together across north eastern Ontario, we carry those principles with us on every mile. Our chapter is a place where the ritual of the lodge meets the freedom of the highway — a brotherhood that extends far beyond the temple door.
We are not a gang, 1% club, or MC, nor do we intend disrespect to any. We are proud Masons who ride, and proud riders who are Masons.
Each September since 2021, the brothers of N.E.W.S. saddle up for our annual Fall Colours Ride — a celebration of autumn in northern Ontario. We chart a course through some of the most spectacular riding country in the province: the sweeping curves of Algoma Country's Tail of the Dragon, the shores of Lake Huron, and the winding backroads of the Sudbury basin and beyond.
The colours, the roads, and the company make this one of the most anticipated events on our chapter calendar. All brothers and their families are welcome.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to our community. The brothers of N.E.W.S. are proud to support local charities and organizations that make a real difference in the lives of our neighbours across north eastern Ontario.
A $1,000 contribution to the Health Sciences North Foundation, supporting patient care and medical services in our region.
Whether you're a fellow Mason curious about membership, a business interested in supporting our charitable work, or simply want to learn more about who we are — we'd love to hear from you.
